It is obvious that mental health is becoming more of a serious issue in today's society. Since the pandemic mental health numbers are at a record high, young people are struggling and most people have no idea where to seek help.

Prescription medication, therapy & common techniques are generally used or recommended as a treatment which can work for some but others may feel reluctant to seek help as they may find it more challenging to talk or open up about their mental health to others. 

How Can I Improve My Mental Health?

Here are 8 key fundamentals and techniques recommended by numerous experts to help with mental health & wellbeing

Nature

Nearly half of people in the UK told us that visiting green spaces, such as parks, helped them to cope with anxiety & stress when their mental health was low.

Personal Care

From making our beds in the morning to taking cold showers, these small wins can give us a  mental boost and spark motivation  to help us throughout the day.

Healthy Diet

The food we put in our bodies can impact our energy and overall mental state. A healthy, well-balanced diet can help us think clearly and feel more alert.

Physical Activity

Regular exercise is shown to relieve tension and stress, boost physical and mental energy, and enhance well-being through the release of endorphins.

Goal Setting

Practicing techniques such as meditation can help us focus more clearly on passing thoughts, significantly reduce stress and uplift our mood.

Setting short & long-term goals  gives us more structure to our daily routine. Having something  to work towards can give us more direction & focus.

Offloading thoughts, feelings and emotions in a journal is a great way to understand more about where certain thoughts and triggers come from.

Cards Beyond Comfort

After going through our own personal journey of poor mental health, and struggles we set out to do as much research as possible on ways to improve our own mental and physical health. We gathered all of the best techniques, practices and methods recommended by experts then began to implement them into our daily lives. Through persistence and will, we finally got there and now we want to help you do the same. After turning our lives around from struggle we felt it was our destiny to help others do the same.

Cards Beyond Comfort takes you on a journey from outside of your comfort zone into a new place full of learning and growth. We used all of our knowledge and research to create 52 unique challenges that consist of methods and techniques that had not only worked for us but have helped many all over the world.
